PussyPussy Art + Pop Up Shop
PussyPussy Pop-Up Shop is an artistic celebration of sisterhood created by the interdisciplinary art duo Eunice Wong and Claire Christine Sargenti. Women and cats, two delicate and seductive creatures sharing the same nickname, are the inspiration behind this body of two- and three-dimensional mixed media work with a playful-sexy-serious kind of attitude. Eunice’s artwork depicts the adventures of her little cat named Mozzarella, in the mediums of oil paint and relief print. You can also find new pieces from her fashion line 普通八婆 Putong Bapo, (translates as “basic bitch” in Chinese), one-of-a-kind accessories, and cat merchandises. Claire’s work is feminist in nature and features the varying shapes and sizes of women’s vaginas in multi-media linocut prints and sculptures as well as on merchandise such as bags, enamel pins and art books from her feminist brand True Nature Child. Together, these two empowering women excite New York City’s independent art scene while smashing the patriarchy with feline grace, bold style and a great sense of humor. *Meow*
