“Covid Hero” was created during quarantine to honor all of the nurses and medical professionals who are risking their lives on the frontlines to keep us safe. Some (but not all!) of the items included to create this piece are newspaper articles on Coronavirus from March and April editions of the New York Times, the Times Picayune and USA Today, my Louisiana SNAP benefits (food stamps) rejection letter, toilet paper, gold leaf, wheat paste and oil, acrylic and spray paint on 30x48” plywood.

“Let Love Be Viral” began as a wheatpaste project in the city of New Orleans with the intention of spreading a positive message in public spaces while bringing some color and life to the boarded up French Quarter during the lockdown phase of the Coronavirus pandemic. It has since expanded to a multi-city project that includes multiple forms of street art, wearable art and fine art.
